This document describes how to rebuild Solr categories using Solr Categories Preferences page allowing for all categories to be rebuilt on the site.
Apache Solr is a fast open-source Java search server. Solr enables the creation of search engines which searches websites, databases and files. Rebuilding Solr means re-indexing.
The Solr Categories page is used when the category changes are made on the Catalog | Categories page and don’t appear on the site. Clicking the rebuild button allows the site to take the changes and re-index it.
Rebuild Solr Categories #
- Click Advanced.
- Click Solr Categories.
- Rebuild the Categories Indexing. The status of the rebuild will be seen in the Solr Categories Preferences status.
- After the rebuild, the status of rebuild is reflected under ‘Categories index status’ tab. The ‘Last Build’ tab gives the information about the last time the rebuild was done.
- Click Back to get back to the dashboard.
