Overview #
A multistore eCommerce solution is used to create multiple eCommerce stores or store views in order to reach as many people as possible and expand the business internationally. This solution is ideal for Marketing Agencies that need a cost-effective way to deploy multiple eCommerce stores with the integration flexibility, control, and speed that each of the stores required.
A multistore approach also helps the agencies have better control from the same admin interface and update the stores and products more easily. Each store has its own domain, checkout process, products, prices, inventory, and email settings and templates. To create new stores it is also possible to copy stores that have been already created and are published. This approach could be used when the new store has similar settings and designs than other stores on the server.
Any Avetti packages include the ability to create and set up multiple stores, however, there is a limit according to the Avetti package you have chosen. If there is a need for more stores the plan can be easily scalable.
The multi-store approach also provides a way to set up different stores with their own domains to try different business ideas and start small, test each business idea, and then scale with the solution that better works for the business.
On all sites, you also get a preview and shop/live instance. Preview is the instance where most of the work is done. Testing is done here without affecting your Live instance or your customers’ experience.
The Live instance is what your customers will actually see and use. Preview and Live instances only match after a Publish has been made from Preview, as a Publish essentially copies the Preview instance onto Live.
NOTE: Real orders and customer data are stored ONLY on the Shop instance. Real data must never be stored in the Preview instance.
