You are in the create product page
Normal Product and Product with variations #
There two kinds of product, normal product and product with variations
- Normal Product: This product doesn’t have multiple options.
- Product with variations: This product has multiple options, like different sizes or colors
Why to use product with variations? #
Variatians can be used to allow a customer to customize their item. They may wish to choose a different colour or size of product. For example, the store may offer a shirt that comes in different sizes (XS, S, M, L, XL), in different colors (white, black, blue). Hernce, the shirt can be, XL-white, S-Black, etc.
Create normal product #
Choose NO if you want normal product.
Input SKU and Product Title, and click save.
You are in product page. Input some product info, and upload product image

Choose category
Product Type, Shiiping and pickup
Input collection and tag
Select available and select product status
Click Save
Create product with variations #
Choose Yes and input Group code and Title
You can follow the same steps to input the info as Normal Product
How to create variations #
SKU variations vs Non SKU variations #
SKU variations have their own price, inventory and pictures.
Non SKU variations don’t have their own price, inventory and pictures.
For example,
We have a product t-shirt, with different colors (blue, red, and white)
When the variation is SKU enabled
They will be 3 different products so they can have a different price, inventory, and picture.
However, if its non SKU
Then it is considered to be the same product. The color code is just added to the product code to know which variation the customer is choosing (something like t-shirt-blue)
This is mainly used when the product does not varies in price or inventory
Let’s see how to create variations

How to create SKU Variations #
Go to variation section. Click the option to open the dropdownlist. Choose one option.
Input the values
Add another option
The variations are generated automatically
Title, SKU, Price and Inventory are editable
When it’s done, click save to create these product variations
If you go back to the products page, you will see the parent product
Click the plus icon, you can see the variations
How to create Non SKU variations #
Select List Variations(Non SKU)
Click Select
Click Create New
Input Variation code & variation name
Click Attach to attach the variation
The newly created variation is on the list
